Welcome Home Band brings together experienced musicians from throughout The Villages who enjoy challenging repertoire, purposeful rehearsals, and making great music together.
Under the direction of Alan McConnell, our rehearsals emphasize musical growth, ensemble balance, and creating rewarding performances for both musicians and audiences.

What You Can Expect
Every rehearsal is designed to make good use of everyone’s time. We balance challenging literature with enjoyable programming while continually developing the ensemble.
Membership is open to experienced musicians who can attend rehearsals regularly and prepare their music between rehearsals. Rather than permanent chair placements, members have opportunities to contribute throughout the ensemble as music and instrumentation require.
Our goal is simple: create an outstanding community concert band where musicians look forward to every Wednesday afternoon.
